We encourage you to book a school tour so that you can see and explore firsthand our welcoming community and state of the art facilities. We look forward to meeting with you and building a strong partnership between the school and home.

Please note: To enrol at school, children must be at least 5 years of age by the 30th April in the year they commence.

School TOUR

A private school tour with our principal is a great opportunity to see our school in action. We will take the time to have a comprehensive discussion about your child’s individual educational needs and we can also answer any specific questions you may have. Interested parents are encouraged to book a private school tour with our Principal or call us to arrange a suitable time to come in.

Submit your application

We require some paperwork be filled out and returned to us. You can download our enrolment form online. Fill it out and return it to us via office@sjthomastowneast.catholic.edu.au

Alternatively, drop in and pick a form up from the school or call us and we can mail one out to you. Please phone the school should you require assistance.

INTERVIEW

Following an offer being made to you for your child’s place in prep, we will arrange a time for yourself and your child to meet with our Principal, Frank Vetrone and Deputy Principals, Emma Canning and Fiona Maelasi. This is an informal opportunity for us to get to you more about your child and address any questions you may have.

KINDER VISIT

To support a smooth transition St John XXIII visit feeder kinders. Staff have the opportunity to chat with our new preps in a setting that they are familiar and comfortable in, as well as receive handover of relevant information from kinder teachers.

TRANSITION PROGRAM

Our transition program ensures that children and their families are familiar with our school routines, facilities and staff. Transition commences with an online information session for parents to address important aspects of daily school life. Children are then provided with four onsite orientation sessions to build their confidence and familiarisation with their new teachers, classmates and classrooms. While the students attend their sessions, our school leaders encourage parents to join us in the school hall to participate in carefully planned sessions to find out more about supporting your child in a smooth transition to school, while getting to know other parents from your child’s Prep group.
